Who is Sharlto Copley married to?
Coming over to his personal life, Copley has been in a long-term marital relationship with his wife, Tanit Phoenix — a fellow South African actress. But their togetherness is even longer as the couple began dating in January 2012.
Less than a year after they began dating, in late 2012, Phoenix moved in with her now-husband in Los Angeles. And in July 2013, they bought a home together. Speaking with IOL, she said, “I love it here; I feel right at home. But we travel back as often as we can to visit our families. And yes, Durban is on my list for Christmas this year.”
As she went on, she said that they were happy. “I have been traveling with my boyfriend all over the world while he worked on his films. It’s been an amazing time for me, meeting incredible people,” Phoenix added.
At the time of the interview, she also said that it might take some years before they get married. And the wedding bells became closer when Copley proposed to Phoenix. Explaining how he popped the question, he told Garzia Daily;
“I flew Tanit to a private waterfall on the Hawaiian island of Kauai – it’s that incredible waterfall Spielberg used in the first Jurassic Park. We landed at the base of the waterfall, and I surprised her.”
Months later, on February 15, 2016, they walked down the aisle in Western Cape, on top of Matroosberg mountain in the Hex River mountain range. To reach their wedding destination, the love birds chartered helicopters. Their wedding ceremony was attended by limited people only, including the bride, groom, the priest, and the photographer.

After they shared the vows, they headed over to Overture at Hidden Valley for the reception. Similarly, the wedding celebration consisted of 41 guests as the two wanted to “keep the wedding intimate and small.” Following their marriage, they went on their honeymoon to two different islands in the Maldives.
Moreover, less than a year after getting married, on January 1, 2017, Copley and Phoenix welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sielle Phoenix-Copley. Since then, they have been busy with their respective profession and parenthood, and it seems like everything is going well in their marital relationship.
