Since getting married to wife Jessica Betts in August 2020, the special guest presenter of The Masked Singer, Niecy Nash, is now enjoying married life.
Who Is Niecy Nash Married To?
Nash is bisexual — and is married to singer Jessica Betts. She tied the knot on August 29, 2020.
The couple even made history by being the first same-sex pair to grace the Essence magazine cover.
After Nash heard Betts’ song in 2015, the pair first connected online. In the following years, they grew close, and after a night spent at Nash’s, they claimed their relationship turned romantic.
Speaking with Essence, the pair also shared that they were in awe at the public’s reaction months after their social media wedding announcement went viral.
Betts and Nash further shared that they were deeply in love and wanted to show it to everyone. The television presenter also told the magazine that her wife’s soul was the main factor in her decision to marry her rather than her gender.
Niecy Nash’s marriage and divorce details
Nash and her ex-husband Jay Tucker first connected at a Labor Day party in 2009. And they hit it off immediately.
They got engaged in September 2010 and eventually got married in 2011 at the Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu. They shared their wedding vows in front of 200 of their closest friends and family members.
However, the Claws star shocked everyone when she announced that she and her husband were divorcing via Instagram on October 30, 2019. The couple had been living separately since June that year.
The two became legally divorced on March 10, 2020.
Who was Niecy Nash’s first husband?
In case you didn’t know, Tucker was Nash’s second husband. Her first husband was an ordained minister named Don Nash.
The couple was married for 13 years before filing for divorce in June 2007. They have three children together. Dominic, Donielle, and Dia were their three children born during their relationship.
“My first marriage was to a pastor, and when that marriage ended in divorce, I instantly lost my spouse, my pastor, and my church,” stated Nash.
