Who Are Sarah-Jane Mee’s Parents? Look Into Her Family, Bio, Husband, Children, and Net Worth

Sarah-Jane Mee is a British news presenter and journalist. She is best known for her work as Sky News presenter and the anchor of The Sarah-Jane Mee Show. From October 2016 until October 2019, Mee anchored a British Breakfast Program Sunrise.

She also co-presents Cricket AM on Sky Sports since 2019. She has also worked as a host on both ITV and presented other programs like Soccer Monday and Hancock’s Half-Time.

Here is some information about the news presenter’s parents, siblings, family, children, and more.

Who are Sarah-Jane Mee’s parents?

Mee was born on 10 July 1978 in Birmingham, England, and is currently 45 years old. However, she has chosen to keep her family life private and has not revealed any information regarding her parents.

Although some sources like Married Biography have mentioned that her mother’s name is Lynda, her father is Tom and she has a sister named Victoria, it has no evidence to back up. Hence, we can say that she has respected her family’s privacy.

Sarah-Jane Mee is married and has a daughter and a stepson

In 2022, the news reporter tied the knot with her now-husband Ben Richardson, who is the chief executive of a branding agency.

They welcomed their daughter in June 2020, and Mee also assumes the role of a stepmother to Richardson’s son from a previous relationship.

News anchor Mee recently introduced her baby daughter alongside her fiancé, Richardson Richardson, in an exclusive interview and photo shoot featured in HELLO! magazine. During this interview, Mee revealed her daughter’s name for the first time, sharing that they named her Rae Brenda Richardson.

She explained that the name was inspired by the prevalent theme of rainbows and rays of hope during the lockdown period. Mee recalled how Richardson suggested the name the morning after her birth, stating, “I think she’s a Rae,” and she instantly agreed, seeing their daughter as their little ray of sunshine.

Mee also recounted her labor experience, mentioning that after multiple days of labor, she was only 2cm dilated, which was quite disappointing. However, due to concerns about pre-eclampsia, they had to prioritize the baby’s safety and recommended a C-section.

She emphasized how the focus shifted from desiring a natural birth to ensuring the baby’s safe arrival once they learned about the risks associated with pre-eclampsia. Furthermore, in the interview, Mee expressed how having Richardson at home during the lockdown was an advantage.

They shared parenting responsibilities equally, with Richardson assisting at night by taking care of their daughter, allowing Mee to get some rest. She described their teamwork, saying, “We’re a tag team.” Sarah-Jane also praised Richardson’s dedication to fatherhood, emphasizing that despite his drive in his professional life, he loves being a dad above all else, making her love him even more, if that’s possible.

Sarah-Jane Mee’s daughter was the flower girl at her wedding

The news reporter got married in 2022, two years after her daughter was born. The couple’s captivating wedding, affectionately named “The Wedding in the Woods,” was hosted in the garden of their countryside residence in East Sussex.

Among the notable attendees was their mutual friend, Autumn Phillips, who played the role of matchmaker by introducing them three years prior. The joyous union was witnessed by the couple’s closest friends, which included Natalie Pinkham, Zoe Hardman, Kirsty Gallacher, Gethin Jones, Eamonn Holmes, Lady Ainslie, and Jacquie Beltrao.

The bride looked stunning in a custom off-the-shoulder gown with button details down the back and a sweeping skirt, designed by bridal boutique Miss Bush and overseen by couturier Suzanne Neville, as mentioned by Hello!

The wedding was a beautiful family affair, with the couple’s charming two-year-old daughter, Rae, serving as the flower girl, being the icing on the cake. Additionally, 43-year-old Richardson’s nieces, Marlie and Isla, had the honor of being bridesmaids, and Mee’s sister, Victoria, held the role of matron of honor, with her son Theodore serving as the page boy.

The ceremony was officiated by Richardson’s cousin, Warren Moore, and the couple exchanged personally written vows, adding a heartfelt touch to their special day.

She co-hosted the football program Hancock’s Half-Time, which was a joint production between ITV Central and London, alongside Nick Hancock, initially replacing Central Soccer Night.

The unfolding drama among the friends adds extra excitement to the show, capturing their daily lives and professional challenges. Safa Siddiqui’s husband, Fahad, is a regular presence on the show, almost considered a series regular.

He brings his considerable wealth and complex personal life to the forefront. The mystery surrounding this man raises questions about his identity and the extent of his wealth. Know about him more as we delve into different parts of Fahad’s life.

Meet Fahad Siddiqui’s wife, the ‘Dubai Bling’ fashionista, Safa Siddiqui

Born on August 7, 1990, in London, UK, Safa is the 33-year-old reigning fashion icon on Dubai Bling. She consistently dazzles in the style department alongside her fellow cast members. According to Netflix, Safa hails from London and is of Iraqi descent.

While Safa initially embarked on her professional journey in the corporate world of real estate, her heart had always been set on making a mark in fashion design. The telltale sign of her aspirations was evident in her impressive collection of Louis Vuitton and Hermès in her glorious wardrobe, something friends and family had consistently admired.

As she took a break from her previous corporate life, the Iraqi-British reality star seized the opportunity to pursue her lifelong passion for fashion. The debut season of Dubai Bling captured Safa’s transition into her new career, providing viewers with a glimpse of her journey and the exciting unfolding of her first-ever fashion show.

Fahad Siddiqui and Safa Siddiqui have been married since 2019

Safa moved to Dubai approximately eight years ago, where she and Fahad first crossed paths, as reported by The Cinemaholic. Fahad has been married to Safa since October 2019, and together, they have two children.

According to Gossip Next Door, the couple got engaged in February 2018 and later tied the knot in October 2019, celebrating with a traditional Indian wedding that featured multiple outfit changes for Safa, including a stunning white wedding gown.

Shortly after their wedding, they embarked on an international honeymoon, exploring Hawaii and Japan. Likewise, their family expanded with the arrival of their first child, a daughter named Alina, in 2020.

Later, in an Instagram post on October 30, 2022, Safa shared a photo of the family dressed in coordinated black outfits, expressing joy at trending in India and referring to Fahad as her “Indian king.”

The season finale of the show unveiled the news of Safa’s second pregnancy, with their daughter announcing the arrival of a sibling in a cute shirt. Fahad’s ecstatic reaction during a family walk on the beach adds a heartwarming touch to the revelation.

The pair welcomed their second child, another daughter, in November 2022. Their second child was named Ayana. The reality star and his wife recently posted the first birthday celebration of their second daughter.

Fahad and Safa Siddiqui faced a heated argument on the show

Fahad and Safa’s relationship faced challenges and tension related to family planning, career aspirations, and conflicts within their social circle, all of which spilled into their personal lives.

Despite the perception among their friends that Safa and Fahad have a well-coordinated and functional marriage, the reality, as revealed by Safa, is that they are quite different. The couple faced numerous conflicts during their time on the show.

It started with Safa’s demand for a larger wardrobe space and house, which clashed with Fahad’s reluctance to leave their current residence. The disagreement escalated when Fahad expressed a desire for a second child, contrary to Safa’s opposition due to a challenging first pregnancy.

Safa, grappling with the aftermath of a difficult pregnancy with Alina, found it challenging to make Fahad understand her perspective. The show highlighted the dilemma she faced regarding expanding their family, leading her to opt for surrogacy, a decision that took Fahad and their friends by surprise.

Fahad, feeling somewhat ambushed, desired more involvement in such significant plans. However, the couple found common ground when Safa explained her situation, and they agreed to delay considering a second child for a few years.

Fahad not only offered his full support for his wife’s career dream of launching a fashion line but also agreed to explore new properties for potential new homes, bringing peace to their relationship.

Another challenge arose when Fahad refused to provide the deposit for a property his wife liked, leading her to feel that he always had his way. However, the couple managed to overcome this hurdle, and it did not cause a severe rift between them.

That said, despite all the disagreements and arguments, the married couple is still together and thriving. Together, they are raising their two daughters and giving them the best in everything.

Fahad Siddiqui left his family business to move to Dubai

Born on July 31, 1986, Fahad is originally from Maharastra, India, and transitioned from being a businessman in his family’s company, Siddiqui Group of Companies, to moving to Dubai. He is currently 37 years old.

Fahad completed his high school education in India, followed by a college degree, and later earned a postgraduate degree from the Mumbai Educational Trust League of Colleges, as indicated on his LinkedIn profile.

On the professional front, Fahad holds the position of Managing Director at Indo Rise General Trading LLC. Additionally, he serves as the Executive Director of his family’s business. Fahad’s professional journey began with his family’s business in 2010.

After that, he shifted to Orbit Corporation Limited. By 2012, he made a significant move to Dubai, where he joined Indo Rise General Trading LLC. As for Fahad’s net worth, reports suggest that his net worth is estimated to be around $4 million.

From Hip-Hop Model to Motherhood — Meet All of Erica Mena’s Children

Erica Mena, aka Erica Jasmin Mena, is an American actress, model, singer, and video vixen who has become a widely recognized figure globally. This multi-talented actress has made a mark in various fields, from movies to runways to music videos.

Renowned for her significant contributions to the Love & Hip Hop franchise from 2011 to 2023, especially in the New York and Atlanta editions, Mena’s fame extends beyond these reality shows.

Mena has experienced various romantic relationships in the course of her career, having been engaged on at least two occasions and married once. How many children does Erica Mena have? Find out with us!

Erica Mena is a mother of three children

The talented actress is a mother to three kids: two sons and a daughter. She has sons named King Javen Conde and Legend Brian Samuels and a beautiful daughter named Safire Majesty Samuels.

Her younger children are shared between Mena and her former husband, the American rapper Safaree Samuels, while the father of her oldest son is her ex-boyfriend, Raul Conde.

King Javien, Erica Mena’s eldest son, entered the world on March 1, 2007, in New York, United States, making him 16 years old as of 2023. King Javen’s father is Raul, a notable American rapper and music video director.

Raul gained prominence as a member of the renowned hip-hop group Fat Joel’s Terror Squad. The relationship between King Javen’s parents began in the mid-2000s but garnered attention in 2011.

At the time, a viral video captured Erica kicking Raul in the streets, leading to their separation. Although they reconciled in 2013, the relationship eventually ended. Erica has stated that the relationship was marked by abuse, as mentioned in Legit.

Erica Mena has 2 children with her ex-husband Safaree Lloyd Samuels

Safaree Lloyd Samuels is a Jamaican-American rapper who initiated his musical journey as part of the group Hoodstars in the early 2000s, collaborating with rapper Nicki Minaj. His musical endeavors extend to his solo career.

In 2016, Safaree became a part of the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, and the following year, he returned to his hometown of New York City, joining the cast of Love & Hip Hop: New York. Later, he relocated to Atlanta and became part of the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.

He was romantically involved with Minaj from around 2000 until their separation in 2014. Their breakup is thought to have influenced several tracks on Minaj’s third album, The Pinkprint.

Years later, Safaree began dating Mena, and the two got engaged in December 2018 — this was after Mena’s engagement to rapper Bow Wow ended. The engaged duo publicly acknowledged their relationship in 2018 after meeting on VH1’s Scared Famous in 2017.

On October 7, 2019, Mena and Samuels shared their wedding vows at the Legacy Castle in New Jersey. Less than a year later, on February 3, 2020, the married couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Safire Majesty.

It has been reported that Mena was already pregnant with her second child – three years old in 2023 – when she got married to Samuels. Likewise, more than a year after welcoming a daughter, on June 28, 2021, Mena gave birth to a son named Legend Brian.

At the time of her second son’s birth, Mena had already filed for a divorce from her husband Samuels, who is the father of Mena’s second and third child. As of now, Mena’s second son is two years of age and is being raised by Mena.

Erica Mena clapped back at trolls on the internet

In 2020, online rumors circulated regarding Mena’s eldest son, King Javien, potentially having autism. Mena was candid on her Instagram, addressing comments from social media users who speculated that her son might be autistic.

Expressing her frustration, she pointed out the inappropriateness of diagnosing someone’s child, especially during the Christmas Eve festivities. Taking time away from her holiday celebrations, the reality television star set the record straight and used the moment to share a message about autism awareness.

She emphasized the importance of embracing children for who they are, irrespective of any medical conditions, turning this incident into a positive clap-back that promotes a meaningful message during the holiday season.

The actress clarified that none of her children have a disability. She explained that King Javien, being a teenager, disliked taking photos, which explained his atypical appearance in family pictures.

Erica Mena is openly bisexual

Mena is openly bisexual and has roots in Puerto Rican and Dominican heritage. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh, New York. In October 2018, Mena and her then-boyfriend Clifford Dixon faced legal issues when arrested at her residence in Johns Creek, Georgia, for a domestic dispute.

Dixon was charged with criminal trespass, and Mena faced charges related to marijuana possession. The incident involved a disturbance that led to a kicked-down bedroom door, prompting a police response. Both were released on bail.

In October 2023, Mena was terminated from Love & Hip Hop due to her use of a racial slur. She later issued an apology for the controversy. Mena broke her silence after she received backlash for calling castmate Spice a “blue monkey.”

According to a statement given to TMZ, she added that the insult was not racially driven. “I deeply regret my insensitive comment and want to humbly apologize to anybody I hurt or offended by my thoughtlessness. My choice of words was wrong, and I take full responsibility for what I said,” Mena told the media platform.

She continued, “I am committed to listening to the voices of those affected and will work toward making amends. As a woman of color and the mother of two Black children, I want to make it clear that my use of that word was not in any way racially driven. That said, I do understand the gravity of what I said and want to use my platform to promote inclusivity and equality.”

The apology followed the announcement that Mena would no longer be part of the upcoming season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. The official statement from the show, shared on social media, highlighted the franchise’s commitment to addressing challenging conversations within the community.

It noted that viewers would witness the impact of Mena’s remarks in the final three episodes of the current season, and she would not appear in the next season. The show’s creator, Mona Scott-Young, supported the decision.
